Story

Creativity at its heart

Hector and I grew up surrounded by a culture of appreciation for craftsmanship and fabric. Our mother was an interior decorator and our father an aesthete to his core.

It was only, however, as teenagers that we began to realise that the quality and style that we had taken for granted in our childhood was less accessible elsewhere. Our clothing brand is a reflection of our appreciation for quality, authenticity and an enduring style.

We believe that our T-Shirts are appealing and wearable wardrobe essentials no matter who you are, whatever your age or style. Henry Ford said a customer can have a car painted in any colour ‘so long as it is black’. We wholeheartedly agree – all your T-shirt needs will be fulfilled by our limited but exclusive range!

Just as importantly, we have married our values and sensitivities to an awareness of sustainability. The latter is a core driver within the business.

A chance read of a 2017 report by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, which showed that the fashion industry wasted a literal truck load of textiles every second, making it the world’s second-largest polluter in the world (responsible for about 10% of annual global carbon emissions - more than all international shipping and flights combined) proved to be the catalyst.

We use discarded off cuts from the physical factory floor and a short supply chain that allows for transparency and a partnership ethos with our suppliers.

We want to know where our clothes come from and how they are made. To this end, we categorically know that none of our T-shirts are made by underpaid workers operating old energy-intensive machinery, nor are they treated with polluting chemicals banned in developed countries. Our local and ethical approach means that your shirts will not be stranded in a port due to not another lockdown.

We are the antithesis of ‘fast-fashion’ brands, which by encouraging their customers to buy cheap product frequently, exacerbates these unattractive trends.

Our continuous and coherent slow-fashion is our own small contribution to reducing the fashion industry’s greenhouse gas emissions that, if nothing changes, will surge by 50% by 2030.

This venture has acted as a platform for us to engage and collaborate with many new people who share our vision. Together we will be agents of change.

We are thankful to all of you and pleased to share our first category.

The principals that drive us:

STYLE.jpg

Style

Our products must look the part and have a timeless, cross generational aspect. We aspire to versatility and to always being in vogue whilst never succumbing to being trendy. To being classics that easily mix within your wardrobe. We are unshakable in our taste and belief in creating a continuous and ready-to-wear collection.

SUSTAINABILITY.jpg

Sustainability / Eco-Credentials

Without sacrificing our principles, aesthetics, price or competitiveness we aim to use off cuts and discarded materials from other brands thereby making the industry more circular by reusing existing resources.

MATERIALS.jpg

Materials

Our products must feel the part, meshing form with function - be that sporty or casual.

PRICE.jpg

Price

Our products are not exactly cheap, but we are competitive. Retailers take 60% of the selling price. We bypass them by being 100% online. Wouldn’t you? That way, we can give you better value products by investing in superior materials and stitch quality and quirky features.
